Sometimes called Medicare Part C is a Managed care plan like that has contracted with the Federal Government to offer an alternative to the Original Medicare Program. This sort of plan usually involves a small premium with a defined Out of Pocket Maximum. These plans, like HMOs or PPOs have a network of doctors that are specific to each plan.
